About this file
This document outlines draft requirements for the Common Armament Tester for Fighter (CAT-F) program. The CAT-F program seeks to develop a common solution for preload and fault isolation testing of armaments on the F-16, F-15, and A-10 aircraft. Key requirements include the ability to operate in harsh environments, meet nuclear certification standards, and integrate built-in test and fault isolation capabilities. Testers must have modular open system architectures to allow for future upgrades. Case sizes may not exceed 44 pounds without handles or 79 pounds with handles and wheels. Non-volatile storage of at least 256GB is required to log test files for seven days. Testers must be capable of utilizing both 100-240V 400Hz and 28VDC power sources. A handheld tester of less than 240 cubic inches and six pounds is also required, with a graphic display of at least 64x128 pixels. The solicitation number for this program is FA8533-23-S-CATF and is being conducted by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center located at Robins Air Force Base.
