DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Structural Analysis
Sample Task Order 1
1.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of this task is to provide USAF with a structural analysis to determine NDI requirements and overall service life for the MHU-196
2.0 STATEMENT OF WORK
2.1 Monthly Status Reports: The Contractor shall supply monthly status reports per 4.18 to support this effort, and shall project timelines to support described efforts. The Contractor shall fully document and explain proposed methodology(ies), and final delivery/product/result(s)/etc., due to efforts required herein. The contractor shall exhaustively seek to ensure that Government tasks/deliverables are correctly understood, and fully executed to satisfy AFLCMC/WNZEA requirements.
2.2 In accordance with 4.5.1.1, 4.5.2.5 , 4.5.2.6 and 4.5.3 of the PWS, the Contractor shall provide a full-scale analysis of the primary structure of the MHU-196 trailer with the intent on (i) establishing compressive Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) requirements for the overhaul facility (at Hill AFB) and (ii) determining the longevity (fatigue life) of the primary structure. The overhaul process, to be accomplished at Hill AFB by Government personnel, will disassemble the trailer and remove paint from all of the structural components. This presents a prime opportunity to perform detailed inspections of critical components. The contractor shall recommend inspection locations, methods, and acceptance guidelines based upon the performed analysis. Further, the contractor shall establish a service life of the trailer structure and its suitability to remain fielded for an additional thirty years and undergo another overhaul in the future. The contractor shall identify the limiting factors for the service life of the trailer’s structure, and propose solutions for all items determined to be at risk of premature failure or degradation.
2.3 Upon completions of each PWS referenced paragraph detailed in paragraph 2.2 herein, a final report and details shall be generated by the Contractor (and delivered to the Government) in accordance with 4.10 of the PWS.
3.0 Post completion of 2.2 and 2.3 herein, the Contractor shall detail how, what, when, where, etc., and what equipment and procedure(s) is(are), and all other requirements, are necessary to complete all NDI requirements on the primary structure of the MHU-196 trailer in accordance with 4.12 of the PWS.
4.0 TRAVEL
Travel to Hill AFB will be required for this task. Travel shall be reviewed and approved by the Government contracting official per 4.14 of the PWS requirements.
5.0 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE (PoP)
The estimated PoP for this tasking shall not exceed 365 calendar days from task order issue.
