About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation FA850125Q0011, focused on an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation for the 78th Security Forces Squadron (SFS) Armory at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The Q&A provides critical details about the facility and project requirements, including site visit information (originally scheduled for 14 March 2025, amended to 17 March 2025), facility characteristics (50+ years old, 22 ft by 32 ft room with concrete walls and suspended ceilings), and specific technical specifications for the IDS installation.

Key technical requirements include installing 3 PIRs, 3 BMS, and 2 Duress Buttons with Vindicator associated equipment, utilizing a Honeywell Vindicator system with specific installation constraints. Contractors must use conduit for cable infrastructure, cannot reuse existing cabling (which does not exist), and must follow strict equipment specifications with no "or equal" substitutions allowed. After-hours access is available with prior notification from the 78 SFS, and payment terms are fixed with no progress payments permitted. The project requires precise site survey and adherence to the specified technical requirements for the IDS system installation.
