Clarification to Questions
Q#27 Are there Specifications for IR?
Answer: The purpose of IR is to be able to identify people and objects in low/no light situations. Detail requirement is the ability to distinguish what objects are at less than 200ft.
Clarification: No requirement to add additional IR capabilities to any of the cameras such as IR illuminators.
Q#23 Are existing servers being used for the video management system? Should the contractor provide enough storage for 170 1080P cameras? At what frame rate does the government want the cameras recorded at?
Answer: The existing servers are virtual and will be reused. The Government will be responsible for storage capacity and RAM if the current virtual servers are being reused.
If using an appliance device or proprietary storage for the video management software, the contractor is required to provide the appliance and/or proprietary storage and must be part of the bid. Storage capacity will be based on proprietary needs to store images/video for 170 cameras running 24x7x365 for 30-days. All appliances or proprietary storage devices must be approved for DoD use on the Approved Products List or be part of a valid DoD Certification and Accreditation package prior to award selection.
Clarification: The contractor should provide enough storage for 170 1080P cameras if using a proprietary server. Otherwise the Government will be responsible for storage. The Government wants the frame rate to be 8-10 frames a second for cameras.
