Questions
1. Are the Contractors providing infrastructure for the cameras?
Section 3.7 of the PWS states that the Contractor must provide all labor and materials required for the completion of the work stated in the PWS.
2. If awarded, will the Contractors need to be escorted?
The Contractor will be required to be escorted into certain areas like, but not limited to, the Flight Line, Little Mountain and the Utah Training and Test Range. Project and timeline coordination between the Contractor and the Government Project Manager will be crucial to the success of this project. See sections, 2.4, 2.6, 3.2, 3.4, 3.5, and 3.8 of the
PWS for more guidance
3. What type of cameras will be required for each required area?
Section 3.16 of the PWS provides the minimum specifications for cameras and
Attachment 1 of the PWS describes camera requirements for each camera in the “PTZ” column. If the “PTZ” column states “No”, the camera requirement is of fixed type, if
“Yes”, the camera requirement is of PTZ type.
4. Will Contractor be responsible for conducting Red Stake, Blue Stake or Asbestos
Surveys?
The Government will request all Red Stake, Blue Stake and Asbestos surveys.
5. Will Contractor be responsible for doing locates for underground wire?

Contractor’s responsibility to move the camera in a manner that meets code.
7. Will Contractor be responsible for lightning protection for cameras?
Under Attachment 1 of the PWS in the “Survey Notes” column each camera has special instructions or notes. Only those cameras required to have lightning protection identified in the “Survey Notes” column require lightning protection.
8. What is the expected period of performance to conduct all work under this contract?
Section 2.3 of the PWS states 90 days after award. Any deviance must be coordinated with the Government Project Manager as also identified in section 2.3 of the PWS.
9. Will Contractor be held to all Federal Safety Regulations while performing work on this contract?
Any work accomplished on Federal Installation must be done so within all Federal Safety
Regulations.
10. Will the Contractor receive any briefings or training regarding security and safety requirements?

18. What type of cabling will be used?
Cabling type is identified in Attachment 1 of the PWS under the “Survey Notes” column.
19. What does each of the cameras need to be capable of?
Each camera has different requirements. In general, the cameras must be meet the minimum requirements identified in section 3.16 of the PWS. The type of camera required in each area is identified in Attachment 1 of the PWS under column “PTZ.”
Only cameras not identified in section 3.16 are those located at our Security Forces in-processing entry control areas. These cameras are identified as interior cameras under column “Survey Notes” on Attachment 1. These cameras will be mini dome style cameras with fixed capabilities. They must be able to view a wide area like a lobby and meet the same standards as the “Fixed Camera” requirements identified in section 3.16 of the PWS.

Storage capacity will be based on proprietary needs to store images/video for 170 cameras running 24x7x365 for 30-days. All appliances or proprietary storage devices must be approved for DoD use on the Approved Products List or be part of a valid DoD Certification and Accreditation package prior to award selection.

See question 23.
25. Do any workstations need setup? If so, how many?
