Floor Coating IDIQ Line Item Descriptions

Demolition, Haul off Base and Disposal:

AA. Vinyl Floor Tile (non-asbestos):

a. Contractor shall remove existing vinyl floor tiles and any remaining adhesives to bare concrete by means of mechanical demolition.

b. Concrete shall be ground smooth to a 40 grit Metal Bond Diamond.

AB. Carpet

a. Contractor shall remove existing carpet and any remaining adhesives to bare concrete.

b. Concrete shall be ground smooth to a 40 grit Metal Bond Diamond.

AC. Equipment Hold Down Bolts/Studs

a. Bolts and studs that are to be removed must be extracted from the concrete slab so as to not disturb surrounding concrete.

b. Once removed, concrete is to be repaired with epoxy repair mortar full depth.

c. Finished repair is to be ground smooth and sealed.

BA. Wooden Cove Base

a. Removal and proper disposal of existing Wooden Cove Base. Installation of new Wooden Cove Base.

b. Repair of adjacent sheetrock as necessary to support new cove base.

BB. Vinyl Cove Base

a. Removal and proper disposal of existing Vinyl Cove Base. Installation of new Vinyl Cove Base.

b. Repair of adjacent sheetrock as necessary to support new cove base.

BC. Coating Removal

a. Complete removal of existing floor coatings to bare concrete by means of mechanical grinding, shotblaster, Concrete Planer or Shaver. To include coatings from ½” mortar to thin mil paints. Concrete is to be ground smooth to a 40 grit Metal Bond Diamond.

BD. 2” Wide Tape Removal:

c. Complete removal and disposal of 2” wide tape and any residual adhesives or residue.

Surface Preparation to Include: (Labor & Material)

CA. Masking w/ Plastic Sheeting:

a. To include complete masking of walls, equipment, items within work area and door-ways. Includes painters tape for all sides of masking.

b. Masking to be in 4’ width, bid per LF.

CB. Lettered Signs-Safety

a. To include the complete installation of any lettered sign on a concrete or epoxy floor.

b. Maximum size of 2’ x 2’ or 75 characters.

CC. Diamond Grinding and Shotblasting

a. To include all necessary grinding and/or shotblasting required to fully prepare surface for application of new coating system or other floor system.

b. Also includes grinding rough concrete to a 80 grit Metal Bond Diamond smooth useable surface.

c. Includes all hand grinding and edge details.

CD. Power Washing

d. Power washing and/or detergent scrub the floor with walk behind floor scrubber to remove oil, grease, dirt and debris.

e. Protection of existing building drains as necessary.

f. Removal and proper disposal of waste water.

CE. Epoxy Patching

a. Includes the repair of existing epoxy mortar flooring.

b. To be complete Eco-PT250 system (primer,3/16” mortar, grout coat, top coat)

CF. Saw Cutting

a. Saw cutting concrete up to a 4” depth to prepare for removal or to create control joints. Up to ¼” blade width.

CG. Saw cut and Seal Joints

a. Saw cut existing expansion and control joints full depth to remove any joint filler’s or debris.

b. Joints are to be saw cut in a manner that both joint walls are “refaced” to promote a good mechanical bond for new joint filler’s to be installed.

c. Joints will vary in width from ½” to 1 ½”. Max depth of up to 2”.

d. Once saw-cutting is complete, joints are to be vacuum cleaned and blown with compressed air to remove dust and debris.

e. Joints to be filled with polyurea joint filler full depth.

CH. Concrete Repair per cubic foot

a. Repair rate of concrete per cubic foot with Rapid Curing Mortar.

b. For filling trenches and floor repairs.

Floor Coating System (includes Labor and Material)

DA. Acrylic Sealer

1. Application of 30% Solids Acrylic Based Concrete Sealer to existing or ground concrete surfaces.

2. To include two coats @ 200 sq ft/gal each.

DB. Primer/ Sealer Coating

1. Application of One Coat Tennant MPE (or equal) @ 180 sq ft/ gal.

2. Application of Second Coat Tennant MPE (or equal) @ 200 sq ft/ gal.

DC. Epoxy Solids Coating

1. Application of One Coat Tennant MPE (or equal) @ 200 sq ft/ gal.

DD. Prepare-Apply 3/16” Epoxy/ Urethane

1. Line item includes the complete installation of Tennant PT-250 trowelled epoxy mortar with HTS 100 Urethane Top Coat (or equal).

a. Tennant MPE Primer @ 180 sq ft/ gal.

b. Tennant PT-250 Epoxy Mortar @ 3/16”.

c. Tennant PT-250 Grout Coat @ 180 sq ft/ gal.

d. Tennant Eco-HTS 100 Urethane Top Coat @ 300 sq ft/ gal.

DE. Urethane Coating

1. Single Application of Tennant Eco-HTS 100 Urethane Top Coat @ 300 sq ft/gal.

DF. Two Colored Urethane

1. Additional application of second color Tennant Eco-HTS 100 Urethane Top Coat within an area already receiving floor coatings. Typically used to identify walking paths from work areas (Battleship Gray and Light Gray), as well as solid yellow egress.

DG. Single Color Safety Paint

1. Application of two coats pigmented Urethane in any safety color. Typically used for marking Electrical Zones, Egress, Eyewash Stations, Fire Extinguishers or any other safety zone marking desired in a solid single color.

DH. Double Color Safety Paint

1. Application of two coats pigmented Urethane in any two safety colors. Typically used to identify any hashed zones, crush zones or any other safety zone marking desired in a hashed or two color pattern.

DI. Lettering Cover Plates ¾”

1. Up to 75 characters ¾” height on single cover plate.

DJ. Lettering Cover Plates 2”

1. Up to 75 characters 2” height on single cover plate.

DK. Dock Numbers

1. One set of dock numbers up to 5 characters, height to be consistent with others in building. Typically 12” to 18” in height.

DL. Chemically Resistant Coating

1. Two coats Tennant Eco-CRE Novolac Epoxy @ 200 sq ft/gal each.

DM. Static Dissipation Coating

1. Installation of Tennant Eco-MPE @ 180 sq ft/gal.

2. Installation of copper foil tape and grounding system as required.

3. Installation of Tennant Eco-ECP or EDP @ 535 sq ft/gal.

4. Installation of Tennant Eco-ECT @ 80 sq ft/gal.

DN. Non Skid Abrasive

1. Addition of nonskid abrasive to any topcoat system for slip resistance.

2. To be aluminum oxide or ceramic only. Silica sand is not acceptable.

DO. Novolac Coating

1. Two coats Tennant Eco-HT Novolac Epoxy @ 200 sq ft/gal each.

2. To be added to 3/16” epoxy line item in lieu of HTS-100 top coat.

DP. 3” Paint Stripes

1. To be two coats of HTS-100 urethane in required safety color @ 300 sq ft/gal each.

2. Includes all masking necessary.

DQ. Rapid Curing Epoxy

1. Application of one coat Tennant Eco-RCE @ 180 sq ft/gal.

2. Application of second coat Tennant Eco-RCE @ 200 sq ft/gal.

DR. Squadron Logo

1. Installation of squadron logo up to 15’ in diameter with up to 4 colors.

Dust Containment/Barriers

EA. Masking up to 10’

1. Includes free standing barricade wall if necessary.

EB. Masking up to 20’

1. Includes free standing barricade wall if necessary.

EC. Masking over 20’

1. Includes free standing barricade wall if necessary.

Lift Rental

FA. Scissor lift/JLG rental up to 20’.

FB. Scissor lift/JLG rental 20’ to 40’.

FC. Scissor lift/JLG rental over 40’.

Electrical GA. Electrical Connections:

1. Contractor must provide for a licensed electrician to provide electrical connection for all 240v and 480v equipment.

GB. Generator

1. 1 week rental of generator.
