About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for solicitation FA812526Q0029 concerning a CNC Router Cutting System procurement for Tinker Air Force Base, dated February 9, 2026. The document does not establish specific response dates, award dates, or pricing terms, as it is clarification guidance rather than the primary solicitation document.
The Q&A addresses key technical specifications and requirements for the CNC router system. The spindle must be a minimum 13 horsepower but may exceed this requirement for steel cutting applications up to 5 inches thick. Regarding electrical infrastructure, the facility provides 480-volt supply, and contractors must provide a transformer if the control cabinet does not accommodate this voltage. The procurement is not sole-sourced; while the router must utilize AlphaCam 3-Axis CAD/CAM software and Coreo software or equivalent, the government will accept alternative software options and machine solutions provided the software allows CNC files to be output from third-party CAD/CAM packages, opened from networked folders, displayed graphically on the PC screen, and executed from either PC or handheld control. The vacuum pump specification requires a minimum 16 horsepower with 350 cubic feet per minute capacity and must produce sound levels below 80 decibels.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS: CNC ROUTER CUTTING SYSTEM (FA812526Q0029)
February 9, 2026
Question 1: I am concerned that you are cutting steel and up to 5” thick? Odd that the specification is a 13HP spindle which will obviously not be capable of this.
Answer 1: The 13HP spindle is the minimum requirement. The spindle may be provided with greater horsepower.
Question 2: The specification of 380 Volt is odd. Is this a Chinese or European machine the specifications have been based off? And will the US standard 220 Volt work?
Answer 2: The facility supply voltage is 480 Volt. A transformer shall be provided if the control cabinet does not accept 480 Volt.
Question 3: After reviewing these answers, we have some concerns with this project. The answer to question 12 in the document states the following:
“Machine must be pre-loaded with AlphaCam 3-Axis CAD/CAM Software and CNC interface Coreo software.”
This answer in particular points this to a Multicam machine. Coreo software is proprietary to the Multicam brand. No other manufacturer/company can provide this software. So, in other words, will Tinker AFB be sole sourcing this project to Multicam, or will they accept other software options as well as other machine solutions?
Answer 3: The project is not sole source. The router is required to utilize AlphaCam and Coreo software, or equivalent.
Software should allow CNC files to be output from any 3rd party CAD/CAM package, to be opened from any networked folder, to be graphically seen on the PC screen, and to be executed from either the PC or a handheld control.
Question 4: Is there any requirement for the vacuum pump?
Answer 4: The vacuum pump should be at least 16 HP with 350 CFM. It must also produce less than 80 dB of sound.
