About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 (SF 30) Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for a federal solicitation regarding portable AC units. The amendment, numbered 0002 and effective 03 Apr 2025, addresses two specific industry questions about technical specifications. The first question concerned the AC model, with the government clarifying that the HSC-60P-220-3 model is currently in use but not mandatory, and any proposed unit must meet the item description requirements. The second question involved power supply specifications, with the government definitively stating that the facilities require a 208/230-3 phase power configuration and cannot accept single-phase systems, despite the vendor indicating challenges in providing such a model.

The solicitation is issued by FA8125 AFSC PZIMA, located at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, with the solicitation number FA812525Q00044 originally dated 24 Mar 2025. The amendment provides critical technical clarification for potential vendors, ensuring that any proposed portable AC units precisely meet the government's operational requirements, particularly regarding power supply configuration.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from industry: Block 14 (Description of Amendment/Modification):

Question 1: Do you have a model or brand for this AC and can the characteristic exceed or perform similar function to those of the salient characteristics if not similar?

Answer 1: the model we currently own and use is HSC-60P-220-3. It does not have to be this exact model but it shall meet the requirements in the item description

Question 2: The product quoted does not meet the request regarding the 208/230-3 PHASE power supply. We do not offer the model in three phases; we provide only a single-phase model. To my knowledge, I am not aware of anyone providing that model in a three-phase configuration. May you ask the prospect if they can use a single-phase system? If the customer can utilize the single-phase configuration, the units quoted are in stock.

Answer 2: Unfortunately our facilities do not accept 208/230 single phase power so it must be three phase.
