Table 1 Ref CSD RFP Inquiry or Comment Tracker
| 1 | 3/28/2016: Regarding attachment 3 (entitled CSD DEMANDS...) to the SOL released 4 FEB, please define the values provided under the title, "DEPOT REP GENS." We need to know exactly what these values represent. For example, in FY11, for CSD ending in 2295, Base NRTS demand total was 90; Depot Rep Gens was 19. What does "19" represent? |
| Response: Depot Reparable Generations (DepRepGens) represents demands generated at depot repair facilities from Programmed Depot Maintenance, Engine Overhaul and Next Higher Assembly repairs. For Constant Speed Drives this includes aircraft and engine overhauls performed at the depots. The depot activity finds the CSD/IDG unserviceable, removes it, turns it into supply and places a demand on the supply system for a serviceable part. This demand is filled from serviceable shelf stock. The DepRepGen data is included to show that a small number of demands for CSDs are generated at the aircraft and engine depots. These demands affect the RO percentage. |
