About this file

This presentation outlines requirements for a new Air Traffic Control Voice Communication Switch system. The Air Force seeks to replace aging Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch systems with a commercial non-developmental solution to provide ground-to-air and ground-to-ground digital voice communications over IP networks. The new system must interface with General Dynamics radios, FAA voice recorders, and LMR systems. The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract would have a five-year base period and a five-year option, with fixed-price line items for equipment, installation, training, data, and interim support. First article tests are required within six to eight months of award. The presentation provides additional technical details and answers representatives' questions regarding network connections, data rights, and certification requirements.

Enhance Combat Forces flight missions by providing ATC Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS), Landing Systems, and Terminals capabilities for the safe, orderly, & expeditious launch and recovery of aircraft throughout delegated airspace in the US as well as host nation assigned airspace throughout the world.

Air traffic control (ATC) services must be provided in all weather conditions to military and civil aircraft. This mission is accomplished in two methods:

Fixed based facilities provide service worldwide Tactical equipment provides similar capabilities to support theater tactical combat operations and combat airspace management
