Blank paperwork to obtain a CAC card will be sent to the contractor along with instructions on how to fill it out. Once filled out, it will be submitted to the COR and the AFCEC Security Manager for review and coordination. Once the paperwork is deemed satisfactory by the Security Manager, it will be sent back to the contractor.
The contractor can then take the paperwork to an AF base of their choosing to have the CAC cards issued. This is how it was done on our last contract. It should be noted that there are no guarantees on timelines for getting a CAC card, as times varies at each AF base according to their local policies.
