Questions and Answers Flooring IDIQ – FA706022R0031 Attachment 12 21 July 2022

1. What are the specs on the new carpet that is to be installed throughout the offices? Manufacturer and size?

A: Low profile, tightly-looped surface texture and baking carpet tiles (Designed to withstand a substantial amount of foot traffic) Example: Empire Flooring - 'Congruity' Commercial Carpet and Carpet Tile | Empire Today

Contractors will need to use the required sources-mandatory sources as outlined in the SOW.

2. Does the GC need to provide a price to remove and reinstall ALL of the items in the 1st floor and 2nd floor spaces outside of the office cubicles?

A: Yes, except for equipment such as laptops, desktops, and printers.

3. Will the GC have a laydown space within the building for materials that are not located within the installation spaces?

A: Yes

4. Provide the square footage for all areas/rooms within the scope of work?

A: 8,163 sqft

5. Should moving costs be included in the offer?

A: Yes

6. Is the Contractor responsible for moving all furniture and electronic devices i.e. computer, printers etc?

A: Furniture only.

7. Is the Contractor responsible to store all moved items?

A: N/A, nothing will be stored, a space inside the facility will be provided for temporary storage.

8. Are the cubicles supposed to be disassembled or hoisted during the carpet installation? If so, provide number of cubicles to be hoisted/disassembled and assembled?

A: Contractors choice of method, there are 18 cubicles.

9. Do the existing tiles contain asbestos?

A: The tiles are not thought to be asbestos containing, however, it is the responsibility of the contractor to complete sampling as necessary to comply with the applicable safety standards to ensure workforce is not exposed. Cost of sampling should be included in the proposed price. Any asbestos abatement would need to be negotiated into the awarded contract.

10. Does the Contractor have to remove the tile?

A: No

11. Can the carpet be place over the existing tile in the EOC area to prevent disturbance of possible asbestos tile?

A: Yes
