1. In reference to paragraph 1.1.2 in the SOW: Special Stock- Vandenberg Hall Stock is blast product and non-blast product as made by Viracon, no ¼” heat absorbing tempered.
RESPONSE: The SOW has been updated to better reflect the above statement. Please refer to the SOW for further clarification on the above statement.
2. In reference to paragraph 1.1.3.3.1 in the SOW: Colored Glazing- Heat Plant makeup stated is special laminated product. Viracon has a minimum order charge, boxing charge, plus freight. If we are to use this product, strongly recommend ordering extra stock.
RESPONSE: Any extra stock will be identified in a Task Order.
3. In reference to paragraph 1.2.1 in the SOW: If this work requires special products, it would be unlikely to complete order in fifteen days (15), contractor would negotiate reasonable time with the government.
RESPONSE: The SOW has been updated to better reflect the above statement. Please refer to the SOW for further clarification on the above statement.
4. In reference to paragraph 7.1 in the SOW: Daily Work Schedule- what purpose does this achieve?
Contractor not on base daily.
RESPONSE: The need for the daily work schedule is for the days that you will be out here working.
5. In reference to pages 5 & 6 of 43 in the Solicitation: How is the contract minimum/maximum quantity and contract value to be filled out? Please show examples.
RESPONSE: This portion of the solicitation does not require a fill-in from the offeror. Maximum and minimum values are represented.
6. In reference to page 14 of 43 in the Solicitation: Drug-Free Work Place- Will contractor employees be drug tested prior to badging?
RESPONSE: Please adhere to 52.225-6 Drug-Free Workplace. Drug testing is otherwise not part of the badging process.
7. In reference to the Davis-Bacon: No stated Rate for Contract Glaziers. Will Davis-Bacon Pay Rolls be required?
RESPONSE: Yes, Construction Wage Rate Requirements (Davis-Bacon) apply, and payrolls are required.
8. In reference to the Bid Schedule Item # 0034: 5/8” Laminated Glass with 0.15” thick daylite insulation-Building Location? Please define product.
RESPONSE: This item has been removed from the contract.
9. In reference to the Bid Schedule Item # 0017: 1” Low coating Grey Herculite Glass door with polished edges- Building Location? Please define product.
RESPONSE: Fairchild and the Cemetery Pavilion and it is ½” not 1”
10. In reference to the Bid Schedule Item #s 0018 & 0019: 1” Blast Resistant Unit Temped/Laminated & 1” DOD Blast Resistant: Building Location? Is glass tinted, does it have Low-E Coating? As a general rule, all blast units 1 3/16” thick on base.
RESPONSE: Cadet Dorms, Yes tented, Yes low E coating, There are blast and non-blast units in the building the 1” thickness are a non-blast unit.
