Every note related to the new natural gas line ends with (BY OTHERS, SEE NOTE17). Note 17 states the gas line is owned/controlled by privatized utility provider, and that all gas piping shown including the gas regulator/meter shall be completed by gas privatized utility provider and coordinated with the Government. However, the note also sates that all gas piping shall be completed in accordance with privatized gas company specifications and that the gas main size shall be verified prior to ordering materials.
Please clarify the natural gas line requirements. If all the gas piping including the regulator/meter is by others, then all the contractor would need to do is coordinate with the Government, and it would be the responsibility of the utility provider to verify their own line prior to ordering their own materials. If it is the Contractor’s responsibility, then please clarify what the contractor will be required to perform under this project for this scope, and provide additional information related to the gas meter size, regulators, gas line owner, etc., if the contractor is responsible for this installation.
The design intent is that all the gas piping including the regulator/meter is by the utility provider. The contractor is to coordinate with both the Government and the utility provider as necessary to provide a complete project.
Regarding details C4 and A5 on sheet A-201, please advise us if a single mortar color will be required, or if multiple colors will be used depending on the CMU color.
A single color is to be used. Refer to exterior colors and finishes on A-601.
Details C5 and D3 on sheet A-503 detail the expansion joint at floors and walls, however we could not find an EJ detail for the ceiling. Please advise us if thescope requires an expansion joint in the ceiling where the same condition as C5and D3 occurs, and if so, please advise us on the type and size of prefabricatedjoint.
Contractor to provide a 1" expansion joint in that location. Basis of Design is Construction Specialties Model:
FWFC-100 in 232 White or equivalent.
The door schedule on sheet A-602 assigns header H3 and jamb J3 to opening 114B,and header H4 and Jamb J4 to opening 120A.
*Header H3 calls for a structural plate and refers to structural. Thestructural drawings do not call for a plate and only includes lintel details. Please clarify if this place is considered the lintel or if this will be inaddition to the lintel and provide plate sizes and thickness.* Header H3 and Jamb J3 call for an integrated frame assembly with drip edge. Please clarify if the intent is to install a hollow metal type frame to createan opening for the new overhead door.

Our assumption is that no further modifications are required on the concrete slab and that the galvanized steel angle is existing, otherwise please clarify if the contractor will be required to perform any modifications to the existing slab.
Galvanized steel angle is new. Contractor shall make any necessary slab modifications required for the installation of the angle.
It appears the location for P-5 in breakroom 115 is shifting from its originallocation on PD101. Is the intent to run the new SS line within the wall and tapinto the existing (similar to the vent), or will additional concrete removal berequired?
The new P-5 drain line is to be run in the wall and tapped in to the existing vertical vent line.
Keynote P12 on sheet P-102 calls for a new smart natural gas meter and tocoordinate with civil plans. The civil plans state the gas meter will beprovided by the gas privatized utility company. Please advise us if the meternoted on P-102 is in addition to the meter provided by others, or if it is themeter provided by the utility company. Otherwise please clarify if it will actas a sub meter, what is the specification on the meter, size, and otherrequirements.
The plumbing drawings are also not clear on how the gas service enters thebuilding. For example, P-102 has the smart NG meter and a ¾” NG pipe feedingthe DOAW and GWH, however there is no pipe serving the smart meter. Pleaseclarify this item.
There is a single smart gas meter, to be coordinated with utility company, and located as per civil. Meter shall communicate with base wide utility monitoring system.
Gas service to be routed and connected to gas meter per CI101. From downstream connection of meter, gas is to be routed to a tee fitting where it will route:

b. along exterior, to DOAU-1
Please clarify the following: The break room calls for Cliff Pointe floor tile, which is discontinued, and a Plaza Nova base tile. That would be two differentcolor tiles. There is no base tile specified that matches that color tile.
Tile base (plaza nova - beige haze) was selected as an accent for the floor tile (cliff pointe - mountain) and was not intended to match the exact color of the floor. Now that the selected floor tile has been discontinued, contractor is to use Daltile (Continental Slate - English Grey CS57) as the substitute floor tile and as the base tile.
