About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from a Request for Quote (RFQ) updated on August 10, 2026, addressing eleven clarifications from proposers regarding a construction project.
The government responses clarify several technical and administrative requirements. For design details, proposers should reference original construction documents: detail 7/A3 for window flashing, sections S2 and Mechanical detail 7 of M3 for A/C supply duct connections, and section 04 20 00 paragraph 2.1.2 of technical specifications for brick replacement specifications. The government authorizes replacement of the front door entryway concrete slab to eliminate trip hazards and improve slope connections. Regarding staffing, one qualified individual may perform Superintendent, SSHO (Supervisory Safety and Health Official), and QC (Quality Control) roles simultaneously throughout the project. No temporary fencing or traffic controls are required for the work area surrounding the building or storage/staging areas as proposed in site utilization plans. The lawn sprinkler system, totaling approximately 70 linear feet (60LF plus an additional 10LF head on the SE corner), must be permanently disconnected and disabled prior to Notice to Proceed; it should not be reinstalled or replaced. Quotes are due August 19, 2026, with questions due by August 14, 2026. The evaluation basis is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA), with technical acceptability determined by capability statements including past performance. Valid quotes must be held for 60 days, and no bid hold period is required following solicitation.
