The solicitation (FA570226Q0008) is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items under NAICS code 541990, with a small business size standard of $16.5M. Key technical details include the current radio communication infrastructure using a Motorola P25 ELMR system with 99 active base stations operating on VHF frequencies. The site survey will utilize a 1/4 mile square grid tile for coverage testing, with specific reliability requirements of 95% reliability, 2% bit error rate, and a DAQ (Delivered Audio Quality) of 3.4. The solicitation has been amended multiple times, with the most recent amendment extending the submission deadline to 23 January 2026 at 10:00 AM local time. · What Manufacturer / model of system is used? Manufacture is Motorola and the models we use are 6500 and 7500. The system we use is the P25 trucking system.
· What is the Number of base stations? Radio shop is currently tracking 99 base stations active on the network.
· What is the approximate size of the coverage test or can you provide a grid size estimate? TBD still waiting on answer 14 January 2026
· What is the approximate size of the coverage test or can you provide a grid size estimate? The test grid tile size is based on statistical analysis using the required reliability, wavelength for operational frequency, and other factors. For our requirements during Army site rollout (95% reliability, 2% BER, DAQ 3.4, etc.) at VHF frequencies, we would end up with a grid tile of 1/4 mile sq.
