About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for the 48 LRS (Logistics Readiness Squadron) Modular Approach Shoring Kit federal contract solicitation.
The document clarifies six key specification requirements that prospective contractors must meet when submitting proposals. The shoring kit must feature a pooch plate surface finish and utilize 24-inch-wide ramps rated for 15,000 pounds maximum axle load capacity, with ramp components no thicker than 4 inches due to mandatory storage and airlift space limitations. The aluminum storage box requires commercial freight banding from the Commercial location to Dover, and does not need to be placed in a wooden container. Regarding certifications, the Government will not accept alternative ATTLA-certified systems, even if newer versions or those with equivalent or superior operational capabilities and performance characteristics are available; only the specified ATTLA #2012.02.06.02 Rev 1 certification is acceptable. These clarifications resolve discrepancies between line-item descriptions and technical specifications in the original solicitation, providing essential guidance for contractors preparing competitive bids.
