1) Can the Gov’t confirm that all installations are to be in line with JSP604 and SDIP-28 and 29?
Answer: This is a QoL life wireless network and will not be used for mission reasons, so standard industry wireless standards apply
2) (A) Can the Gov’t confirm the manufacturer of existing AP and WiFi installations in situ and (B) whether the requirement is to provide the same manufacturer as this is beneficial for the service element?
Answer: We mainly use Ubiquiti Access point but any end equipment can be used as long as it’s interoperable and works with our current controller software/network
3) Whom is to install the leased lines?
Answer: The contractor who is awarded the contract must install the leased lines.
4) In order to estimate the total work related to level of effort type tasks (project mngt, design, surveys, etc) can the gov’t provide an estimate on the; (A) annual budget available, and (B) annual amount of task orders planned to be released under this BPA?
Answer: An annual budget cannot be projected for this requirement. However, in accordance with FAR 52.216-19 Order Limitations, “The Contractor is not obligated to honor – (2) Any order for a combination of items in excess of $1,370,000” encompassing this 5 year ordering contract.
5) Which CLIN does the contractor need to use to allocate its project management cost? (Can the gov’t create a separate CLIN for project management?)
Answer: The Government will not separate costs for project management. This is a firm-fixed-price contract that encompasses cost and profit for each CLIN.
6) Can the gov’t provide a separate CLIN for an initial post award survey activity?
Answer: No
7) Does the gov’t have any site survey data available (installed base, layout of the new wifi locations, location POP, etc) in support of the PWS?
Answer: New locations have not been identified as yet, break fix actions should be easy as you are just replacing equipment.
