Sheet1
| Number | Brief Description | Date | Return Date | Status |
| 1 | Please can you provide addresses, or maps of sites, indiciating any buildings that have a known current or future need for WAN connectivity? | 4/16/18 | ||
| The buildings will be identified after contract award, and the maps will be made available, if available/authorized. This contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Requirements type contract. Task Orders (TO) will be placed against the contract when the need arises, listing the specific equipment, items, or service(s) required from Attachment 2 – Pricing Schedule for the particular buildings identified in the TO. Current locations that have Wi-Fi will have the choice/ability to increase/decrease/discontinue/expand their current POP/connection speed. | ||||
| 2 | Are the speeds listed with the pricing sheet i.e. Minimum Download Speed - 20 Mbps, Minimum Upload Speed - 10 Mbps - per month in both the contended and uncontended section based on per user or per incoming line? | 4/16/18 | ||
| The speeds are per month, per incoming line | ||||
| 3 | Roughly how many end users are expected at each building / TO location? | 4/16/18 | ||
| As this is a quality of life network all we are concerned with is the speed coming in. We have several locations that at rare peak times may have over 100 users. We currently have 100mb for our We Are Liberty network and are happy with the bandwidth through the network. | ||||
| 4 | The SoW mentions dynamic IP addresses. Our assumption is that this is dynamic IP addresses for the users and a static IP address for the incoming service, is this the case? | 4/16/18 | ||
| Correct | ||||
| 5 | The SoW mentions content filtering, this can either be placed on the provider end of the WAN link or the LAN side (router), do you have a preference or is this open to design? | 4/16/18 | ||
| This is open to design | ||||
| 6 | The SoW mentions providing users a price for between 10 - 150mbps connection, is there data to advise on how many users take which service levels? | 4/16/18 | ||
| When TO's are placed for each area/building, the connection required will be determined at that time. | ||||
| 7 | Will a portal and billing platform be required for users engaging with service? | 4/16/18 | ||
| When TO's are created and paid for with appropriated funds, the platform for invoice and payments is WideArea Workflow (WAWF). The awarded contractor will submit the invoices in WAWF, and the TO point of contact will review/accept the submitted invoices. | ||||
| 8 | Section 5.2 of the SoW appears to suggest that any cabling required will be completed internally, however the pricing sheet denotes this as included within the scope of the wireless installer, please confirm? | 4/16/18 | ||
| It will be the responsibility of the contractor to do all cabling for the Wireless system within the facilities. | ||||
| 9 | If the structured network cabling is required, is there a USAF specification in force and if so please can we have a copy. | 4/16/18 | ||
| UK standards are acceptable | ||||
| 10 | As regards the electrical elements requested is there a USAF specification in force above and beyond national electrical codes, if so please can we have a copy? | 4/16/18 | ||
| See attached Skilled Persons application form which states what electrical certs are required to do power work on base. | ||||
| 11 | For the avoidance of doubt it is assumed that all new wireless hardware will be part of the UniFi product range and will be installed in a manner that integrates the new installations with the existing "We Are Liberty" network. Please confirm this is the desired approach? | 4/16/18 | ||
| Any end equipment can be used as long as its interoperable and works with our current controller software/network | ||||
| 12 | Are sample previous TO's and building plans available? | 4/16/18 | ||
| Sample Task Orders (TO's) are not available, as this is the first Indefinite Delivery/Requirements contract of its kind. Building plans will be made available at time of TO creation if authorized/available. | ||||
| 13 | Are we able to conduct a site survey of the types of locations the wireless will be installed in? | 4/16/18 | ||
| At this time, a site survey is not offered. When we want to expand the network or need a repair, the contractor can survey the location in question after award. | ||||
| 14 | Will it be a USAF requirement that the 2 hours preventitive maintenance on the UniFi controller be conducted on site or is remote access permitted i.e. from the NOC of the successful vendor? | 4/16/18 | ||
| Remote access is permitted on receipt of the TO | ||||
| 15 | The SoW mentioned bi-annual preventitive maintainance visits but this item is not identified within the pricing schedule, please advise if this requires costing? | 4/16/18 | ||
| An additional CLIN has been added for semi-annual inspections and maintenance. The solicitation was amended and posted on FBO. |
