About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal contract opportunity involving carbon filter replacement and maintenance services for air filtration systems in Building 6263 and Building 9696.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Thursday, 13 August 2026, at 10:00 AM Alaska Daylight Time, with pre-registration required by Wednesday, 12 August 2026, at 1:00 PM Alaska Daylight Time. Pre-registration requests must be sent to Mr. Alex McWilliams (alex.mcwilliams.3@us.af.mil) and Mr. Joseph Ford (joseph.ford@us.af.mil). The government clarified that technical specifications for 4mm particle carbon pellets are limited to information available in the original equipment owner's manual, and detailed technical drawings for the Model CD-6626-PSB82-ARC spray booths are not available for public release. The government confirmed that establishing waste profiles for spent carbon is the contractor's responsibility, noting that no formal waste profile currently exists and spent carbon is not landfill-restricted. Historical disposal has been conducted via standard roll-off dumpsters at the generation site, and contractors are responsible for documenting and executing waste disposal shipping manifests. The transport vehicle can be positioned directly inside the paint booth adjacent to the filter bank, eliminating significant distance constraints for equipment access during filter replacement operations.
