About this file
This is a Well Driller Report filed with the Arizona Department of Water Resources documenting the completion of a water well at Luke Air Force Base.
The well was drilled by Beylik Drilling, Inc., located in Bernalillo, New Mexico, for Luke AFB in Arizona during the period of November 4, 1991, to December 12, 1991. The well, registered as No. 609888 and identified as B(2-1)5 ABC, reaches a total depth of 1,200 feet. The well features 16-inch diameter casing with 0.312-wall carbon steel construction, extending 600 feet in length. A wire-wrapped carbon steel screen with 0.060-inch slot size was installed at the same length. The well was constructed using reverse circulation and air assist with polymer drilling fluids. The depth to water was measured at 380.4 feet from the top of the casing at the time of completion. The well location is identified in Township 06 North, Range 02 East, Section 01, within the southwest quarter, northwest quarter, and northeast quarter portions of a 160-acre parcel. The sealing method employed a 40-foot sanitary seal from 0 to 40 feet in the annulus and a 40-foot seal around the conductor from 0 to 40 feet.
