The Contractor shall include in the written request any HVAC equipment to be used during the shutdown; and guarantee in writing that the equipment is capable of sustaining facility occupants’ comfort cooling or heating for the expected outside conditions and for the duration of the shutdown. Shutdowns shall be completed on or before the proposed completion date and time; and all actions (for example, 26 Aug 19 FBNV180044 9 relighting boiler gas pilot lights) to bring the HVAC system back into operation shall be accomplished. If the shutdown cannot be completed as planned, the Contractor shall restore the facility HVAC system back into operation (taking all necessary actions, including but not limited to, relighting boiler gas pilot lights) removing all Contractor equipment from the system and the site, unless otherwise approved by the Contracting Officer. No shutdown shall be allowed without the Contracting Officer’s prior written approval.
