About this file

This is a Question and Answer document for solicitation FA485525R0008 regarding Cannon AFB Microwave System Support Services, dated December 13, 2024. Cannon AFB Microwave System Support Services

FA485525R0008

13 December 2024

1) Aside from the general PM requirements of the microwave systems, if a request for services is requested that needs immediate attention, what is the time frame for a contractor's representative to respond to Cannon? I saw in the SOW that the equipment was to be put back into service within 7 days. Does that encompass the initial response as well?

a. Back in service within 7 days, but must have the capability for 24- hour remote service.

2) A preventative maintenance, Inspection, Repair in quantity of 12 and unit of month… So practically, is your pricing asking us to provide a ONCE MONTHLY inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of each of the 12 sites?

a. Yes

3) A “Emergent Maintenance and Repair of 64 Quantity and unit of hours… Is Emergent supposed to mean Emergency?

a. Yes

4) Per Diem in the quantity of 16 and unit of days… Is this related to the monthly inspections and per diem is to not be included in the monthly inspections OR is this only related to emergency maintenance and repair OR is this related to ANY time we are there? And this is for ONE, NON-SCHEDULED EVENT of 64 HOURS TOTAL FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE CREW or 64 HOURS PER CREW

MEMBER?

a. Yes, and this is for total hours. Example, 2 techs at 8 hours each for one day for an emergency would be 16 hours and a remaining 48 hours for any additional emergencies.

5) Per Diem in the quantity of 16 and unit of days… Is this related to the monthly inspections and per diem is to not be included in the monthly inspections OR is this only related to emergency maintenance and repair OR is this related to ANY time we are there? And… Per of 16 days for the entire crew required OR for 16 days per crew member?

a. This is for emergency maintenance for a total of 16 days. Example: If two members come out for one day it would take 2 days of per diem leaving 14 days. The extra days compared to the 64 hours = 8 days, is for partial days where they may be here for 4 hours.

6) In regard to Materials and for us to be expected to exercise our professional judgment of what 5 “average jobs” would take… Is this (5) average preventative maintenance where we could anticipate general wear OR is it to have to include ANYTHING THAT COULD BE REQUIRED which could be multiple radios, dish antennas, etc. which could be very expensive?

a. Materials is for emergent repairs, large non-standard preventative maintenance. It would cover the cost of the parts after proof from the vendor of the cost.
