About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a gutter and roof inspection requirement at the 497 ISR Wing. The document provides technical specifications and project requirements, including details about the building's 9"x9" pre-finished metal gutter system with 6" square downspouts and strainer baskets, which spans approximately 830 feet. The building was constructed in 2007 and has Louver Vents, Metal Downspouts, and French Drains.
The scope includes addressing two existing roof issues specified in the SOW while documenting all other issues in a report. Key operational details indicate that while lifts are not provided, 40-foot ladders are permitted, and the building envelope is accessible by JLG lifts. There is one known leak, and contractors must avoid damaging security cameras and lights during work. The facility has existing leaf guards, one wasp nest, and several nests under the gutters. The project requires no permits, will not disrupt daily operations, and final inspection will be conducted by Facility Manager Lucia Miranda. The building has one water source on its backside, and the gutters have no pitch.
