About this file
This is a Solicitation Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity FA468626Q0014, titled "9 AMXS Hangar Fan Maintenance," issued by the Department of the Air Force. The document addresses six clarifying questions submitted by prospective contractors regarding project logistics and site conditions.
Key operational details include: all areas beneath the fans and blades will be cleared prior to contractor arrival; mechanics can transition between buildings on consecutive business days; side-mounted fans are confirmed integrated into the Facility Automation Control Panel (FACP) and Energy Management Control System (EMCS), though ceiling-mounted fan integration cannot be verified due to missing installation documentation; the highest roof height is estimated between 25 and 30 feet but remains unverified; overnight storage of lift equipment is permitted onsite; and mechanics can be added to the Entry Authorization List (EAL) for base access, though all personnel working in the restricted flight line security area must receive daily escort. Amendment 0001 was issued on June 3, 2026, uploading the Q&As to Sam.gov. The document has been reviewed and approved by CALI MCVAY, GS-12, Contracting Officer, Department of the Air Force.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q1: Will all items be cleared from underneath the fan and blades prior to arrival?
A1: Yes. All areas beneath the fans and blades will be cleared prior to the team's arrival.
Q2: Will the mechanics be able to move from one building to the next building the following business day?
A2: Yes. Mechanics will be able to move to the subsequent building on the following business day.
Q3: Are all fans integrated into the FACP and EMCS?

Q5: May lift equipment be stored onsite overnight?
A5: Yes, onsite overnight storage for lift equipment is permitted.
Q6: Will mechanics need to be escorted daily, or will mechanics be subject to DBIDS and receive a gate pass?
