About this file

This is a Historical Equipment & Maintenance Data document providing baseline information for the FY26 AMXS Hangar Fan Maintenance solicitation at Beale Air Force Base, California. The document serves an informational purpose to assist offerors in understanding equipment conditions and does not relieve contractors from performing due diligence or meeting all Performance Work Statement requirements.

The scope encompasses twenty (20) Big Ass Fans, Model Basic 6 units with 24-foot diameters mounted at approximately 20 feet above finished floor in Hangars K and N. Each fan features a 16-foot extension tube, Basic 6 I-Beam mount, 200-250V three-phase power, and Allen Bradley Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controllers. Historical maintenance observations from October 2025 documented operational instability issues: one fan (Serial #VNO1210393312) in Building 1068 (Hangar K) exhibited wobbling with VFD external faults triggered by the facility's fire alarm system integration, while another fan (Serial #VNO1210393319) in Building 1045 (Hangar N) demonstrated significant wobbling with movement under minimal physical pressure, with supporting steel I-beams noted as inadequate. Previous corrective actions implemented in late 2025 included stabilization using 20-foot Gripple Sets (guy wires), high-lift equipment for repairs and installations, and standard OEM-compliant mounting hardware with thread sealants for component replacements. Offerors are responsible for verifying exact specifications across all twenty fans included in the scope of work.
