About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a Rewind Transformers federal contract opportunity at Dyess Air Force Base.

The Government is seeking a vendor to repair and rewind transformers that are currently not in service. The vendor is responsible for picking up the transformers from Dyess AFB, transporting them to an offsite repair facility, completing the rewind work, and returning them to the base. All transportation costs and related expenses are the vendor's responsibility. The transformers are ready for transport. This is a brand-new contract with no incumbent contractor. The period of performance is 60 days after the date of contract award, with no specific start date currently established. No cost estimate, budget, or ballpark figure has been provided by the Government. Data plate photographs of the transformers are attached to the document to assist vendors in understanding the equipment specifications. The document includes images of transformer data plates from ABB and Sungelt Solomon manufacturers, showing technical specifications including voltage ratings, serial numbers, manufacturing dates, and capacity information.
