About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for a transformer rewind contract opportunity at Dyess Air Force Base.

The Government seeks to have transformers repaired through rewinding services at an offsite repair facility. The selected vendor is responsible for picking up the transformers from Dyess AFB, transporting them to an offsite repair shop, completing the rewind work, and returning the units to the base. The vendor bears all transportation costs and related expenses. The transformers are currently not in service and require repair; they are ready for transport. Data plate photographs are provided showing transformer specifications. The period of performance is 60 days after contract award, with no specific start date established. This is a brand-new contract with no incumbent contractor. No cost estimate, budget, or ballpark figure has been disclosed. The document includes photographs of three transformers with varying specifications, including ABB and Sundelt Solomon models with single-phase configurations and voltage ratings ranging from 100 KVA to 12470 Grdy/Y7200 HV with 240/120 LV specifications.
