About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for the Dyess AFB B6119 Demolition project. The document provides critical details for potential contractors, including site-specific requirements for a demolition project at Dyess Air Force Base. Key project details include: everything on site must be removed except for a single transformer, with no landfill available on base for debris or hazardous materials disposal; contractors are responsible for obtaining their own fill material, handling asbestos removal, and following federal/state regulations for concrete recycling. Additional notable requirements include: onsite personnel need a State ID, power is not available on site, no additional drawings beyond project demolition and as-builts exist, and the contractor must coordinate utility disconnections and potential permits. The document directs contractors to reference the Statement of Work (SoW) and contact the Contracting Office for specific details on bonds, contract award timeline, and other technical specifications.
