FA4626-15-R-0024 Questions. 1st set

1. WHAT ARE THE SITES?

The exact sites will be determined at a latter date but do encompass the entire missile complex. It won’t necessairly be an entire squadron at once. This is subject to change.

1. WILL WE BE ALLOWED TO WORK ON MORE THAN ONE SITE AT A TIME?

Work on mulitple sites can be done on an as needed basis. We prefer not to have several sites open at one time, but do realize that things come up from time to time in the missile field (i.e code change) that may require this to be the case.

1. CAN ON-SITE SUPERVISOR BE ONE OF THE WORKERS ON THE PROJECT?

An on-site supervisor is in charge of his personnel, responsible for onsite safety operations, and responsible for the contractors quality assurance on the project. It would be up to the contractor to decide if a worker meets the qualifications of an on-site supervisor. Key word being responsible.

1. THIS PROJECT MAY COVER TWO YEARS. SOME MATERIAL FOR WHOLE PROJECT MAY HAVE TO BE PURCHASED AT THE BEGINNING. CAN WE BE PAID FOR STORED MATERIAL?

While material storage is not a line item for this project, we will allow payment for materials purchased provied that the contractor can prove via site visit to the storage facility that the materials have been purchased and are being stored in a secure location.

1. GENERAL NOTE A ON SHEET E2.0 SAYS THAT THE GOVERNMENT HAS SELECTIVE

SALVAGE, AND WE ARE TO DELIVER TO LOCATION DESIGNATED BY 341ST CES/CEM. IT IS A LOT OF WORK TO DELIVER THE POLES IF SALVAGED. WE NEED TO KNOW IF THEY ARE GOVERNMENT SALVAGE AND WHAT LOCATION THEY MUST BE DELIVERED TO?

The Government would like to salvage up to 10 poles if they are in good/usable condition, the on-site inspector would need to determine what or if any are usable. Our Engineer feels most or all the poles are dry rotted. Also included in Government salvage would be 10 sets of any of the lighting hardware. Hardware can be turned over to the on-site Contracting Officer Representative and they will deliver to Zone. The poles, if kept, would require delivery to 341 CES electric shop with coordination do be done though the COR.
