About this file
This document is a Government Questions and Answers file addressing inquiries related to a federal contract opportunity for cleaning and maintenance services at a Close Assault Tactical Trainer (CATM) Range facility.
The facility consists of a 25-meter indoor range with three bays, a classroom located on the northwest side, and external restroom facilities near the parking lot. The range experiences approximately 700,000 rounds of use annually and was last cleaned in October 2025. Cleaning operations must be completed within five business days (Monday-Friday) with the range shut down 100 percent during cleaning activities. Contractors are permitted to run the range air handling system during cleaning, operate equipment trailers overnight in a designated fenced area behind the range, and utilize site restroom facilities. The contractor is responsible for transporting and recycling spent lead shot collected by the auger system following an annual deep clean, though the government will provide range air handling equipment specifications and the O&M manual for the bullet trap auger system to the contract awardee after award. Building layout and dimensions are available through Google Maps or upon request. Several critical questions regarding confirmation wipe sample collection procedures, waste profiling and the 72-hour disposal requirement timeline, and acceptable lead contamination measurement thresholds remain unanswered, with government responses to be posted no later than April 29, 2026. The file includes a comprehensive photo log documenting the three range bays, control room, classroom, storage areas, dust collection units, and the auger system.
