About this file

This is a seed mix specification list for landscaping at Vandenberg Air Force Base, dated December 2016, which appears to be a technical appendix related to a demolition services contract (FA461025Q0010). The document outlines required seed mixes for non-irrigated areas including roadsides, bioswales, and demolition sites.

The specification requires seeds sourced from California's Central Coast, preferably from Santa Barbara County, and details three categories of plants: 1) A basic sterile annual mix using either Triticale QUICKGUARD or Wheat X Wheatgrass ReGreen at 12-15 PLS Lbs/Acre, 2) A selection of three annuals from options including lupine, white layia, California plantain, Tomcat Clover, and Pacific fescue at 4 PLS Lbs/Acre, and 3) A selection of three perennials from options including California broom, salt grass, blue wildrye, squirreltail, small fescue, California barley, and vervain at 4 PLS Lbs/Acre. Any substitutions must be approved by 30 CES/CEIEA.
