About this file

This is a Q&A document for a hood and duct cleaning services contract at Vandenberg Space Force Base. The document addresses cleaning requirements across six facilities: Beachcomber and Breakers Dining Halls, Child Development Center, Youth Center, Pacific Coast Club Restaurant, and Bowling Alley.

The cleaning frequencies vary by facility, from monthly to annual cleanings of specific equipment. The Child Development Center requires special priority due to regular inspections. Work must be performed during specific time windows to avoid disrupting operations, such as after 7pm at dining halls and after 4pm at the CDC. The incumbent contractor is Mario Zamora (Absolute Power Wash) under contract FA461021P0085 valued at $203,235.00. Contractors must obtain base passes, undergo background checks, and follow facility-specific protocols like wearing visitor badges. Two optional site visits were scheduled for 1/29/2025 and 2/11/2025, with quotes due by 2/24/2025. Contractors must provide their own equipment and cleaning supplies, using only food-safe, non-toxic cleaners, with specific restrictions on bleach usage at certain facilities.
