MEMORANDUM FOR INTERESTED PROVIDERS
SUBJECT: FA460022Q0041 QUESTION RESPONSES
PROJECT: 55 WG B500 CAT/CP AUDIO VISUAL SYSTEM INSTALLATION
The purpose of this amendment is to answer the questions submitted by interested providers:
1. Will all monitors and related equipment furnished by the Government have all the necessary mounting brackets and associated components?
• 2F2: No. Contrator will be responsible for video wall. Government will provide for other monitors
• 2F3: Yes
• 2F11: Yes
• 2F15: No. Contractor will be responsible for monitors place in front of the windows.
Government will provide for the one on the north wall
• 2F22F: Yes
2. For Room 2F2, the proposed video wall panel (cell) size was 46”. Those have been discontinued. The available size is 55”. Since this would be a taller video wall, we need to ask what is the unimpeded viewable ceiling height in that room? If a larger video wall is acceptable, but construction cannot be modified, it may affect sightlines from the viewer to the video wall.
• No we can not support 55”
3. If the 3x3 video wall with 55” displays is too tall, can it be substituted with a 4x2 video wall?
• 4x2 is acceptable. Note. Facility is currently wired for 3x3 displays. Contractor would have to address this
4. If the 4x2 video wall is a workable option, it will have up to 8 different images instead of 9. Since the SOW specifies export/display to up to twelve (12) displays total and there are 4 displays in 2F11, this would still meet the SOW. Is this acceptable?
• Yes
5. What is the ceiling height AFF in all 5 of the rooms that AV is to be installed in?
• 2F2: Floor to Finished Ceiling 100” Finished Ceiling to Ceiling 12” > 18” sloped ceiling
• 2F3: Floor to Finished Ceiling 175” Finished Ceiling to Ceiling 24”
• 2F11: Floor to Finished Ceiling 93” Finished Ceiling to Ceiling 35” & 38” vairies on location
• 2F15: Floor to Finished Ceiling 95” Finished Ceiling to Ceiling 37 1/2”
• 2F22F: Floor to Finished Ceiling 95” Finished Ceiling to Ceiling 35 ½”
6. Are there reflected ceiling drawings to help enable speaker and mic locations?
• AV-100 Drawing: Speakers are installed as indicated. Microphones should be placed as indicated on the drawing.
7. Are all of the rooms to have AV on accessible raised floor for cable paths?
• Complex is on a raised 6” floor. Design drawins are available.
8. Are there cable paths under the floor to the COMM closet (2F4) to allow for connectivity to the AV racks located there?
9. Will multisite licenses be required for the SIPR codecs?
• No
10. Cameras are not shown in CAT SUPPORT 2F11. Is the VTC for 2F2/2F11 only to be used in 2F2?
• Yes 2F2 only
11. While it looks like there are only 2 VTC systems (in 2F2 and 2F3), are there Audio Teleconferencing (ATC) systems already in place as part of what looks like OFE audio or will the Contractor need to provide those?
• No the contractor needs to provide them
12. The SOW references that the contractor is to provide microphones that integrate with existing systems. What are those audio systems?
• Existing speaker system and wiring
13. Is the CATV tuner in the associated rooms GFE?
14. If the CATV tuners are GFE, what model are they?
• N/A
15. Will KVMs be utilized to switch between classifications for presentation?
16. How many NIPR input sources are in 2F2 and 2F11?
• 2F2: Up to 4 computers, cable TV, DVD
• 2F11:Up to 4 computers, cable TV, DVD
17. How many SIPR input sources are in 2F2 and 2F11?
• 2F2: 3
• 2F11: 3
18. Is the GFE flat panel display in 2F3 to be installed by the contractor?
19. Is there a GFE mount for the GFE flat panel display in 2F3?
20. Of the five (5) input sources in 2F3, how many are NIPR and how many are SIPR?
• Three (3) NIPR and two (2) SIPR
21. Microphones are shown on AV-100 in 2F22F but not listed in the SOW for that room. Are those
GFE?
• no
22. Since there are microphones shown in 2F22F, are there Audio Teleconferencing (ATC) or VTC requirements for that room that the contractor will need to meet or is such equipment GFE?
• No the contractor needs to provide them
24. Are the racks to be used for AV Owner Furnished, Owner Installed (OFOI)?
• Yes, racks are furnished and installed
25. Are the floor boxes and backboxes OFOI, thereby meaning only the faceplates in them need to be provided by the contractor?
26. Period of Performance: Some equipment availability delays may exceed the 120-day PoP. Will that PoP be able to be extended to accommodate these delays?
