About this file
This document is a combined synopsis and solicitation for office furniture for three facilities at Tyndall Air Force Base. The Air Force Civil Engineer Center Natural Disaster Recovery Division is seeking proposals for furniture for the ABM Sim, Fire Station 2, and WEG Large Boat facilities. Required furniture includes systems furniture, seating, executive furniture, conference furniture, appliances, and weight equipment. Proposals are due by February 18, 2022 and must be submitted electronically. The anticipated award is a firm-fixed price contract. The evaluation will consider technical approach, price, and ability to meet the schedule in the statement of work and its attachments. The NAICS code is 337214 for office furniture manufacturing and there is no set-aside designated.
The statement of work and its attachments provide specifications for the required furniture. Offerors must describe how they will meet the requirements and provide pricing for individual line items and options. Proposals are required to include business and contact information, valid pricing, shipping and invoice terms. Registration in the System for Award Management is also required. Installation is scheduled from April through October 2022 depending on the facility, subject to construction delays.

QUESTIONS
1. QUESTION: Regarding the ABM S1 Task Chair - The requirement for an adjustable front edge of the seat does pose a competitive limitation (no known chairs with it outside of Steelcase). Moreover, Generally in past
Government Projects, the "Waterfall" Edge design is considered technically
Equivalent, as it provides a similar ergonomic benefit. Adjustable Seat Depth
Requirement can be met without issue (just to avoid confusion).
ALSO - Please clarify - The Description states "MESH Back"; the Leap chair is an upholstered back. The Finishes State "Mid-Grade Knit Fabric: 3D knit - Color
Nickel 5093 Is a Mesh Back Chair acceptable?
ANSWER:
ABM S1 Task Chair – the waterfall edge design will be an acceptable substitute provided this does not change the classification of the chair to executive level furnishings.
A mid-grade mesh fabric, color: nickel 5093 should be used for the back of the chair.
