Question and Answer/Clarification 2
Fire Alarm Maintenance & Repair Services – FA4497-12-R-0005
This is a question/clarification resulting from the site visit held on 12 June 2012.
Ques: Can a large business submit a bid?
Ans: The requirement is a set-aside for small business:
a. If a large business is subcontracting out to a small business, the small business has to perform 50% of the work.
b. Small business needs to submit with the bid, a teaming agreement to show that they are teaming up with a large business.
c. The small business must submit the bid to include certifications IAW the Performance Work Statement. Past/Present Performance Survey must be submitted for the small business and not the large business.
