38. In the aftermath of the delivery of the Life Safety Plan on the 09/10/2020, kindly note that this plan contains discrepancies concerning some of its areas´ use and occupancy identification.

Please note that all the spaces identified with letter “G” in the drawings have no statutory correspondence as per the International Building Code, IBC 2018, Chapter 3 (see attachment), NFPA 101, or International Fire Code, IFC, concerning the use and occupancy of the building, i.e. The provided Life Safety Plan´s legend refers “Industrial/General” for letter G, however the codes do not use the letter G for any occupancy and use classification, thus the industrial type of classification falls under letter “F”, which stands for Factory category, in this case F-1 and which requires further attention.

Therefore, and for all the above stated, Marques S.A. kindly requests:

a) The revision of the Life Safety Plan provided as a complementary bid document on the

09/10/2020, to remove discrepancies and allow a correct and full evaluation of the impact on building requirements and the life safety of the building and its occupants.

Yes, unless stated otherwise, the Contractor shall perform all necessary work to add filling/foundation materials (as opposed to removing filling/foundation material) so that adjacent pavements are all at the same height.

In addition to keeping all adjacent pavements at the same height to avoid “steps” or level differences, adjacent pavements composed of different materials (for example, when tile floor meets floating floor) the transition shall be achieved by installing an aluminum profile (Type “PROJOINT T FROM PROFILAS” or equivalent), 1 inch wide, and as long as each specific pavement section (i.e. from wall to wall).
