The solicitation is a total small-business set-aside for brand-name Bose products, and authorized resellers are eligible to supply the specified equipment without being the manufacturer. The Government requires 25 Bose ProFlight Series II headsets with part number 789812-5040 featuring a factory six-pin LEMO configuration, with no separate GA or U174 adapters required. The specified part number satisfies all technical requirements, including compatibility with high- and low-impedance systems per paragraph 2.1.2 of the requirements.

The anticipated award date is on or about 15 September 2026, with delivery schedule details specified in Statement of Work section 4.1. QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

FA442726Q1138 – Bose Proflight Series 2 Headsets – TRAVIS AFB, CA

QUESTION ANSWER

1. Because this is a total small-business set-aside for brand-name Bose products, has the SBA nonmanufacturer rule been waived for this acquisition, or may an eligible small-business reseller supply the specified Bose products without being the manufacturer?

Yes, authorized resellers are eligible to supply.

2. The notice indicates that offerors must provide a Technical Capability Statement. Would a statement confirming the exact Bose part numbers and quantities offered, new-product condition, authorized sourcing, manufacturer warranty, and ability to deliver all items within 30 calendar days after receipt of order satisfy this requirement, or is any additional technical documentation required?

Yes, that would will suffice for the statement. See Amended SOW regarding delivery date change to 60 Calendar days after receipt of order (ARO).

3. Delivery Schedule & Period of Performance The solicitation states the anticipated award date is "on or about 15 September 2026," but does not specify a required delivery date or Period of Performance for CLIN 0001. What is the deadline for delivery of the 25 headsets to Travis AFB? Should I assume delivery is due by a specific date following award, or is there flexibility?

See statement of work (SOW) 4.1.

4. Base Access & On-Site Delivery Coordination Attachment 4 (TAFB Security Requirements) outlines identity proofing and base pass procedures. Since the headsets are being delivered to a closed military installation, should I (the prime contractor) coordinate base passes and delivery logistics directly with the 60th Contracting Squadron, or will the Government arrange delivery acceptance on base?

Additionally, are there any pre-delivery requirements (e.g., security vetting for delivery personnel) I should budget into my timeline?

Mission partner will coordinate with the awardee.

5. Does the Government now require only 25 Bose ProFlight Series II P/N 789812-5040 headsets with the factory six-pin LEMO configuration, with no separate GA or U174 adapters required?

Yes, adapters not needed.

6. Paragraph 2.1.2 states that the headset microphone must be compatible with both high- and low-impedance systems. Bose technical support has advised that the ProFlight Series II cannot be converted for military low-

impedance operation using the previously specified P/N 327080-0020 adapter. Please confirm whether providing the exact specified Bose P/N 789812-5040 satisfies the Government's requirement under paragraph 2.1.2.

7. Could you please clarify the cybersecurity requirements applicable to this solicitation, specifically DFARS 252.204-7019, 252.204-7020, and 252.204-7021?

Please confirm whether offerors are required to have a specific CMMC level or current NIST SP 800-171/SPRS assessment at the time of quote submission or award.

With the changes to the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO), all three of these provision/clauses will be included in all contracts moving forward.
