OPTION TO INSTALL CAMERAS IN FUTURE CONSTRUCTED FACILITIES
12. BACKGROUND: Dormitory buildings 1304 and 1305 are scheduled for demolition with a projected completion date in 2027 and, as such, do not require camera installation at the time on initial contract performance if award occurs prior to that date.
13. OPTION SCOPE: The Government hereby grants the Contractor the exclusive right and option to furnish and install security camera systems in the newly constructed Dormitory Buildings 1304 and 1305, provided such installation occurs within the five-year contract period, inclusive of the one (1) base option year, resulting from this contract award.
14. OPTION EXERCISE: Exercise of this option shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and subject to the availability of funds, completion and acceptance of construction, and satisfactory performance by the Contractor. The Government shall provide written notice of its intent to exercise this option within a reasonable timeframe following substantial completion of the new facilities.
15. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: All work performed under this option shall comply with the technical, security, and performance requirements outlined elsewhere in this PWS and shall be executed under the same terms and conditions as the base contract unless otherwise modified by bilateral agreement.
16. PRICING: Pricing for this option shall be in accordance with the pricing methodology established in this contract and finalized at the time the option is exercised, unless otherwise specified.
