About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) clarification for solicitation FA442725R0013, related to repairing pest damage at a Department of Air Force facility. The RFI addresses three key points of clarification: 1) Temporary accommodations during construction, including requirements for temporary office spaces for 8 occupants, on-site storage for a learning library, restroom access, and air conditioning provisions during HVAC work. 2) Specifications for ceiling tiles, with details provided for a 24x24" tile and a Blizzard White suspension system finish. 3) Demolition and abatement scope for the first floor of Building 380B, covering 8,216 square feet of suspended acoustical ceiling and gypsum board ceiling, with confirmation that all gypsum board ceilings must be removed per sheet A2.4 of as-built drawings. The project is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000 and is being conducted by the Air Mobility Command.

FA442725R0013 - Repair Pest Damage L/H/S - RFI Clarifications
1. There is a conflict in the SOW and RFI responses: The SOW at item 1.2 states “…..IF contractor requires occupants to vacate the building……..contractor will need to provide temporary office spaces for 8 occupants as well as on site temporary storage for CDC’s learning library………………..”
Gov’t Responses to RFI’s
#6 states: “The SOW requires temporary storage”
#7 states: “Trailer Requirements”
Are trailers of any kind required if the project is phased?
Phase plans will be considered, irregardless all items being stored in the large storage room will need to have a space that remains accessible for the users meaning this will need to be considered as part of the phasing plan. In addition to this the users will still need restroom access whether that's part of the phase plan as well or being provided exterior to the facility during construction.
Contractor also needs to consider the fact that while the HVAC is being worked on that the users need to have AC provided to them.
2. Are the specifications for the ceiling tiles and grid available?
Please see specifications for ceiling tiles below:
3. According to the RFP Scope of Work Section 2.1.1, “Contractor to perform demolition and abatement of suspended acoustical ceiling and partial gypsum board ceiling for all of the first floor of Building 380B, totaling 8,216 SF.”
While the scope clearly includes demolition and abatement of the suspended acoustical ceiling, it also references “partial gypsum board ceiling.” Could you please clarify the extent of demolition required for the gypsum board ceiling?
Refer to sheet A2.4 of asbuilts for gyp board locations. All gyp board ceilings will need to be removed.
