About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details requirements for the 60th Civil Engineer Squadron's Medium Shelter System (MSS) and Electrical Distribution System (EDS) to support Prime BEEF training and exercises. The procurement includes a 30'W x 52'L x 15'H medium shelter system with specific components such as mil-spec vinyl cover, insulated end panels, flooring system, equipment and personnel doors, windows, ECU ports, LED lighting, and a 30kW diesel generator. The electrical system encompasses four primary distribution panels (25kW, 30kW, and 200kW) with various power input/output specifications, and one secondary distribution center with complex power input/output characteristics supporting multiple voltage and frequency configurations.
Key technical requirements include operating temperature ranges from -25°F to +125°F, ability to accept and distribute 120/208 VAC power, specific circuit breaker configurations, and comprehensive power distribution capabilities. The SOW specifies a brand name or equal requirement, with the Alaska Medium Shelter System (Part # AK-3052-MSS-2) as the reference model. Additional procurement terms include included freight and handling, no mandatory vendor training, and a minimum 12-month equipment warranty. The overall objective is to provide deployable shelter and power distribution equipment that enables realistic training for Airmen in expeditionary environments.

Statement of Work
For
60 CES/CEX Medium Shelter System and Electrical Distribution System
Description: The 60th Civil Engineer Squadron requires a Medium Shelter System (MSS) and an Electrical Distribution System (EDS) to support Prime BEEF training and exercises. Together, these systems provide deployable shelter capability and safe, reliable power distribution, enabling realistic training and mission readiness.
Currently, the squadron has neither medium shelters nor an organic power distribution system, creating a critical gap in preparing Airmen for expeditionary requirements. Prime BEEF teams are expected to be subject matter experts in the setup, operation, and sustainment of both MSS and EDS equipment.
Without access to these systems, Airmen cannot receive the hands-on training needed to build proficiency in shelter deployment, power distribution, and sustainment of operations in austere environments.
POC: 1Lt Daniel Cunningham
