About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the requirements for the 60th Civil Engineer Squadron's Medium Shelter System (MSS) and Electrical Distribution System (EDS) to support Prime BEEF training and exercises. The procurement includes a comprehensive set of equipment: one Medium Shelter System (30'W x 52'L x 15'H) with mil-spec vinyl cover, insulated panels, integrated liner, flooring, doors, windows, and environmental control units; four Primary Distribution Panels (25kW), one 30kW Power Distribution Panel, one 200kW Primary Distribution Panel, and one Secondary Distribution Center. Additional components include a 30kW diesel generator, installation kit, storage container, and various power cables and receptacles.
The system specifications emphasize robust operational capabilities, with equipment designed to function in extreme temperatures ranging from -65°F to +150°F and capable of handling 120/208 VAC power configurations. The SOW highlights that the current squadron lacks these critical training assets, which are essential for preparing Airmen in expeditionary environments. Key requirements include all-inclusive freight and handling, no vendor training, and a minimum 12-month equipment warranty. The procurement is marked as a "brand name or equal" requirement, with specific part numbers provided for reference, allowing some flexibility in vendor selection while maintaining stringent technical specifications.

Statement of Work
For
60 CES/CEX Medium Shelter System and Electrical Distribution System
Description: The 60th Civil Engineer Squadron requires a Medium Shelter System (MSS) and an Electrical Distribution System (EDS) to support Prime BEEF training and exercises. Together, these systems provide deployable shelter capability and safe, reliable power distribution, enabling realistic training and mission readiness.
Currently, the squadron has neither medium shelters nor an organic power distribution system, creating a critical gap in preparing Airmen for expeditionary requirements. Prime BEEF teams are expected to be subject matter experts in the setup, operation, and sustainment of both MSS and EDS equipment.
Without access to these systems, Airmen cannot receive the hands-on training needed to build proficiency in shelter deployment, power distribution, and sustainment of operations in austere environments.
