About this file
This document contains a request for information (RFI) regarding a federal contract to repair fuel systems generators. The RFI provides responses to contractor questions about specifications for generator equipment, testing, and inspection requirements. The responses indicate that nickel-cadmium batteries as specified in the drawings are acceptable, contractor equipment layout shop drawings must be provided, and the inspection and testing requirements outlined in the specification sections will be sufficient if met. A related federal contract opportunity notice involves a solicitation from the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command to provide all materials, labor, supervision and equipment to complete the repair of fuel system generators at a specified location. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for February 23, 2021 for up to two individuals per company to receive base access passes.
