1.2 PROCEDURES

A. Deliver all submittals to the contracting officer within 10 days after the Issuance of Delivery Order, where "Notice to Proceed" appears in individual Specification Sections, it shall be meant to read as "Delivery Order" unless otherwise specified.
B. Submit each item using AF Form 3000, available from the contracting officer. Identify project, contractor, subcontractor, major supplier; identify pertinent drawing sheet and detail number, and specification section number, as appropriate. Identify deviations from contract documents.
C. Submit initial progress schedules, AF Form 3064, in duplicate within 5 working days before commencement of work. After review by contracting officer, revise and resubmit, as required.
D. Government's review will be limited to determinatIon If submittals are in conformance with design concept and general requirements of the project. Approval by the Contracting Officer shall not absolve the contractor from his responsibilities for specific performance of the item or items submitted.
E. Submittals shall be accepted only from the contractor (not subcontractor or material supplier), who shall check submittals for completeness, accuracy for construction purposes, and conformance with contract requirements and shall indicate his approval on each submittal.

1.3 CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS SCHEDULE

A. This schedule is required on delivery orders with performance periods greater than sixty days or at the discretion of the contracting officer. The Progress Schedule, AF Form 3064 shall consist of a minimwn of one work element for each division of the specification except Division One.
B. Progress schedule submitted shall address the CSI 2004 Masterformat.
C. Work shall be scheduled such that, upon start of construction, work progresses in a continuous and diligent manner. A schedule which does not reflect steady and reasonable progress throughout the construction period shall be rejected.
1.4 SHOP DRAWINGS
A. When reqUired by individual specification sections, submit the nwnber of opaque reproductions the contract requires, plus 3 copies which will be retained by the Government.
Drawings shall be submitted upon delivery order completion.
B. Shop drawings shall be prepared by persons competent and experienced in the trade involved. Drafting skill is not a requirement but accuracy and completeness are. Drawings shall reflect field measurements and conditions and shall show the relationship of the item to adjacent materials.
1.5 PRODUCT DATA
A. When required by individual specification sections submit, in duplicate, product data that indicate compliance to listed standards.
B.Mark each copy to identify applicable products, models, options, and other data;
supplement manufacturers' standard data to provide information unique to the work. Include manufacturers' installation instructions when required by the specification section.
C. Trade names of specific products used in this specification are used for purposes of defining general quality and performance. They are not used to preclude the use of products of equal characteristics by other manufacturers. The Government reserves the right to determine equality.
D. The contractor shall submit to the Government with any request for approval of substitutions, complete data including performance and chemical makeup for both the specified and proposed item.
1.6 SAMPLES
A. When required by individual specification sections, submit samples that fully illustrate functional characteristics of the product, complete with integral parts and attachments.

B. Include identification on each sample, giving full information.
C. Samples will be retained by the contracting officer except in those instances, where the specifications permit use of the sample in the actual work.
D. Provide field finishes at project as required by individual specifications section. Install sample complete and finished. Acceptable finishes in place may be retained in completed work.
1.7 MATERIAL LISTS
A. The Contractor shall supply material safety data sheets to the SABER inspector on all hazardous materials to be used on this project. No hazardous material will be used on this project until the material safety data sheets have been reviewed and approved by the Air Force. The Contractor will maintain the approved material data sheets on the job site at a central location until the completion of the project. All contractor personnel will be advised of the material safety data sheet location. -
