Boring Logs provided and SHT. C002 and C003 indicate that borings were typically terminated at 4ft, though two locations were terminated at less that one foot, due to "auger refusal." Is this "auger refusal" to be interpreted as the elevation of the engineered cap? Please provide a profile/section of the landfill cap.

Question
The referenced Note states, "Contractor will not be allowed access to the building until all necessary submittals have been received." Please clarify what constitutes, "all necessary submittals."

Answer
Base standard color is not required for the temporary sewer and sanitation facilities.

Question
A concrete "slab" area is shown Plan North of the New Kennel building, though no information regarding this area can be located. On this and other sheets, an asphalt drive is also showntieing this location to the existing road, the construction entrance is shown tied in, and elevations at the four corners (top of concrete or grade?) are shown. Please provide additional information regarding this feature, i.e.: dimensions, location, etc
Answer
This pad shall be 15-ft x 31-ft centered on the gate and asphalt drive. Pad shall be 8-inches thick per Detail D on
Drawing Sheet C620 and tied-into the asphalt road per Detail E on Drawing Sheet C620.
Question
The title of this Specification Section includes the verbiage, "(Bid Option 2)." Work associated with this Section cannot be found in the drawings, the Bid Schedule provided within Section B of the Solicitation shows no Option Items, and nothing with a "Bid Option 1" in it's title can be located. Please advise.
Answer
Ignore "(Bid Option 2)" text in the title of the Specification Section 12 48 13. Entrance Floor Mats. "WKM-1" is identified in the Room Finish Legend as "Walk-Off Mat Foot Grille" and their locations are shown on drawing sheet A702.
Submitted past performance projects are not required to be exclusive to kennels. Relevant performance includes multi-discipline efforts involving work that includes providing a new kennel with similar square footage, building envelope materials, and new constructon.
Per the Past Performance requirements required as part of the proposal submission all contractors must: Provide a list of no more than five (5) of the most relevant contracts performed for Federal agencies and commercial customers within the last three (3) years from the issue date of this solicitation. (Provide no more than five (5) contracts total for the Prime and major Subcontractors). Relevant performance includes multi-discipline efforts involving work that includes providing a new kennel with similar square footage, building envelope materials, new construction, and work on other installations"
While our organization has completed new kennel construction on a Federal site or DoD installation in the last 3 years it would not appear viable the Government would find multiple firms who have completed potentially five (5) new kennels within the last three years. Please confirm "The intent is to show multi-discipline efforts for new construction or renovations which modify exterior and provide new building envelopes which were performed on a Federal Site or DoD installation in the past three years. However, the project examples are not required to be exclusive only to kennels and may encompasses any construction or renovation which meets similar construction practices and requirements"

So that capable contractors will not be excluded from competition, would the government please consider expanding the definition of relevant past performance to include “a new kennel, similar structure, or veterinary treatment facility”?
Answer
Submitted past performance projects are not required to be exclusive to kennels. Relevant performance includes multi-discipline efforts involving work that includes providing a new kennel with similar square footage, building envelope materials, and new constructon.

Answer
No

Answer
No further questions are being accepted at this time.
