# Questions Answers 1 Do you have the sizes of the hoods at each facility? What types of restaurants are they? What types of cooking are done in the facilities? How many stories are the buildings? Where are the fans located?

1a. See Pricing Spreadsheet, 1b. See Pricing Spreadsheet 1c. See Pricing Spreadsheet 1d. all are onestory 1e. Exhaust fans are located on roof, some have ladder wells interior to the building some have to be accessed from the outside 2 Belts and calking are still part of the contract repairs? Are belts going to be provided at the buildings or are we to provide them when needed?

2a. Minor parts like belts caulking missing screws, missing bolts burnt out bulbs should be replaced during scheduled cleaning/preventative maintenance. 2b above items to be provided by contractor as needed 3 Price list consists of fire suppression information, please confirm the number of hoods, times cleaned, ect.

Price list now has information concerning the size of hood(s) and the type of cooking. Times cleaned is by building number which includes all hoods. Number of hoods per facility on Pricing

Spreadsheet.

4 Please confirm the status / verify that the last cleaning of the referenced kitchen exhaust systems were performed in accordance with section 3.2 in the

Hoods and Ducts PWS? Specifically regarding the section that states all surfaces including the exhaust duct were cleaned to bare metal.

Confirmed

5 Please provide the length and dimensions of each exhaust duct run from the kitchen hood itself to the exhaust fan.

Exact data not available. All facilities are one story.

6 Are there any current issues known regarding each kitchen exhaust system referenced?

This includes but is not limited to ‐ leaking exhaust duct, area of grease build up, missing filters, missing caulk, missing screws, missing hardware, lack of grease duct access panels, lack of rooftop grease containment systems, build up of grease around any exhaust fans on roofs, motor issues, exhaust fan issues, make‐up air issues, electrical issues, missing or removed exhaust duct fire wrap, limitations on grease duct access for proper cleaning, or any unaccessible areas?

None that are known at this time.

7 Are the kitchen exhaust systems make‐up air units being included in the requested service ( cleaning of intake filters, belts, bearing, etc. ) ?

Only Kitchen Hood exhausts are included

8 If cleanings take longer than the "Permitted Hours of Service", how will this be addressed?

eg ‐ Air Base Bowling Alley 1400‐1600 (2 hour window) ‐ service could take longer than

2 hours to complete to code? Will we be allowed extra time on site to get the system to bare metal or will we have to reclean at a later date to get the system up to code?

If based on your actual experience that additional time is required then schedule can be adjusted to ensure adequate time is available for Monthly service
