About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document for a classroom audiovisual (AV) system installation project spanning four rooms (100, 125, 140, and 165).

The project requires installation of Newline Touch Panel displays as the primary display technology, with Room 100 needing a new 86-inch or larger display, while other rooms retain existing equipment. All rooms require concealed, recessed ceiling-mounted speakers and microphones, with specific quantities: Room 100 at least 8 speakers, Room 125 at least 6 speakers, Room 165 at least 8 speakers, and Room 140 at least 14 speakers to cover the large area. Microphone quantities depend on the vendor's proposed equipment specifications. Cameras are required at a minimum of two per room in Rooms 100, 125, and 165, and three in Room 140, to be used locally on computers and Newlines displays. All rooms require wall-mounted Crestron Source Control Panels (minimum 8-inch size) with inputs limited to HDMI, Auxiliary HDMI, and USB-C—specifically excluding VGA. Rear confidence monitors must be 75-inch displays. The proposed system is stand-alone and requires no network connections to existing infrastructure or network switches. Room 100 has drywall ceiling, while Rooms 125, 140, and 165 have drop ceiling mineral fiber tiles. Equipment installation includes a rack area in Room 100B (back room adjacent to Room 100). Room dimensions are: Room 100 (14x36), Room 125 (12x28), Room 140 (16x60), and Room 165 (20x40).
