QUESTIONS SUBMITTED AFTER SITE VISIT HELD ON 17 AUGUST 2012

MRE Warehouse - Bldg 5075 -Question #1: Do the Contractor pay for the MREs?

Answer: The government will furnish all food and condiments to include operational rations. Ref: III.1(g) in the PWS.

MRE Warehouse - Question #2 - How are the MREs delivered to Camp Bullis: The Contractor delivers the MREs to Camp Bullis. Ref: I.12.(d)4.

MRE Warehouse - Supplemental Information. Please see Technical Exhibit 1 in the PWS for Building 5075, MRE Warehouse. As supplemental information, the contractor is responsible for supplying all equipment necessary and for loading the MREs onto the trucks for the Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS).

Basic Military Training Building 10416 - Question #3: Are there two kitchens for this facility or only one?

Answer: This facility is broken down into the east side and west side serving/eating/cleaning areas. Both sides are similar. There is only one kitchen to support both the east and west areas.

DCF #1 - Question #4: Who will eat here?

Answer: See Part IV paragraph 7 - New Airman Training Complex (ATC) in the PWS. Basic trainees will eat at the DCF. When construction of the new Airman Training Complexes and their Dining/Classroom Facilities is complete, the basic trainee mission will transfer from the current BMT dining facilities to the new Dining/Classroom Facilities.

Warehouse/Maintenance Bldg 1530 - Supplemental Information: This warehouse is where the expendable supplies (reimbursable items) and other supplies are kept. There is also a section for maintenance and a section that houses the equipment/items to be turned in to DRMO. All new equipment is delivered to the warehouse and the contractor takes possession of equipment here. The facility is secured at all times. The warehouse manager knows about and expects all equipment deliveries. The contractor is responsible for supplying all equipment necessary and for unloading all service related delivery trucks.

BEAST site - Supplemental Information: Food for trainees at the BEAST site will be prepared by the contractor at the Lackland Training Annex (LTA) Dining Facility, Bld 124, and will be transported by the contractor to the BEAST site. Trainees will carry the food into the BEAST facility and are responsible for serving the food and cleaning up. The contractor is responsible for transporting the food, serving as a cashier, overseeing the serving of the meal by trainees and for picking up the serving utensils and bringing them back to the LTA to be cleaned and sanitized. The trainees will use all paper/plastic items for this meal with the exception of trays. Trays will be cleaned by the trainees in the "clipper" wash area.

LTA - Bldg 124 - Question #5: How is the JBSA Airman Leadership School going to affect the foot traffic at this DFAC and when will it be opening?

Answer: The Airman Leadership School (ALS) will open in November 2012. Students attending ALS are expected to eat lunch at bldg 124; the average class size is expected to be 60 students.

LTA - Question #6: Are both clippers used at the same time?

Answer: It depends on the workload. The government provides the workload data in Tech Exhibit 2 showing the average number of patrons per meal period. This information should be used to determine when both clippers should be operated at the same time.

LTA - Supplemental Information:

Camp Anderson Peters - Supplemental Information: Camp Anderson Peters is a training site inside the Camp Bullis compound. The contractor is responsible for preparing applicable meals at the Defender Inn, Bldg 5420 at Camp Bullis, and transporting them to the Camp Anderson Peters training site (approximately 6.5 miles away). Upon arrival at the Camp Anderson Peters serving location, the contractor shall set up the serving area, properly identify patrons, collect signatures and money, as applicable, and serve the meals using disposable (single service) plates, cups, eating utensils, etc. The contractor shall be responsible for cleaning the serving area and the proper removal and disposal of any trash and/or garbage resulting from the service provided. The contractor shall account for hot meals in the same manner as meals served in the dining facility. Ref: I.12.(d)4 Contractor Office Space - Supplemental Information. A site visit attendee asked to see the contractor's office space. The visit concluded with a tour of the contractor's office space and uniform storage room on the third floor of building 7065.
