Answer:

Yes, Record of Attendance will be provided with Amendment 0002.

Question:

Do you anticipate an extension for Quote due date (Mar. 29)?

Answer:

Yes, an extension is anticipated. Dates changed from 29 March to 5 Apr 2023.

Question:

Sections 52.228-1, 52.228-15 indicates Bid Guarantee, Performance and Payment Bonds Construction, are these items required for this contract?

Answer:

Yes, Bid Guarantee is required and FAR Clause 52.228-1 is included in Solicitaion.

Question:

For the Boiler and filtration equipment concrete bases, what type of work is expected? For example repair and coating paint on the bases?

Answer:

Mechanical housekeeping pad work would only consist of modifications needed for adaptation of the existing boiler pads to fit the footprint of the new boilers, if nessasary. This would include dowed in rebar to secure the new section to the existing pads.

Question:

Is there a plan to combat the thermal expansion problem?

Answer:

Yes, the Governent has confired with the HVAC Shop, and will be updating the SOW to include replacement of the existing Expansion Tank (ET). The location for the ET will be located on the floor in front (West side) of the existing boiler mechanical pads. An updated Attachment 1 - Statework of Work (Revision 3) was provided with Amendment 0002. Changes are in - Section 3, 3.4.7 and 8, Section 4, 4.2 (p, q, r, and s)

Question:

Is there a plan to provide new make up water for the boiler system?

Answer:

Yes, heating water, make-up piping/system replacement will be included as an additional requirement in association with the replacement of the existing expansion tank. An updated Attachment 1 - Statework of Work (Revision 3) was provided with Amendment 0002. Changes are in - Section 3, 3.4.7 and 8, Section 4, 4.2 (p, q, r, and s)
