About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file dated 20 August 2025 for an audio-visual system upgrade for a chapel. The project requires a new AV system with specific requirements including 75-100 inch monitors (two new, mounted at the front), wired and Bluetooth connections, simultaneous source display, a wireless touch panel for remote control, and five assisted listening units. The existing equipment to be incorporated includes a functional Cry Room speaker, an existing audio mixer in the loft, a back wall video monitor, and a laptop with HDMI connection.
Key technical specifications include microphone inputs (1 under pulpit, 1 behind pulpit, 6 in stage floor), two aux port jacks, existing front and ceiling speakers, and a Behringer X32 Compact Digital Mixer. The system is primarily used for speaking, occasional guitar and piano inputs, and projecting PowerPoint slides. The project must follow TAA compliance (FAR 52.225-1), and certain existing equipment like subwoofers, the current projector, cassette player, and rack amplifiers will not be used in the new system. The chapel dimensions are 33 x 56, and there is a crawl space available.
